What these poured builds are made of, and how we lay them in Florida weather.
We are not a dealer or an authorised representative of this brand. We install poured systems of this type and will tell you at the estimate exactly which products go into your job.
Underneath almost every poured sports surface is the same black rubber. It is recycled SBR granule, and its job is to give the build depth and spring at a price that lets you afford the layer above it. It gets sorted by grain size, mixed with binder and laid to the depth the sport needs. Colour never goes into it, because pigment in a layer nobody will ever see is money thrown away. The coloured granule on top is EPDM, a different rubber made for sun and pigment rather than for shock. That split is why two quotes for the same court can look nothing alike. One is buying depth in the cheap layer, one in the expensive layer. Ask which.

Polyurethane cures by reacting with moisture in the air, so our climate is both a help and a trap. In August the material goes off faster than a label written for Europe expects, and a batch left standing in the pail is scrap. Rain landing on a surface that has not skinned over marks it for good. So we start early, keep batches small through the hot hours, watch the radar all morning and stop while there is still time to close the edges properly. Dew is the one people miss. A slab that felt dry at 6am can hold enough damp to spoil a bond, so we test it rather than guess. None of that appears on a spec sheet.

We will say this before you have to ask. B-Cool Surfacing is not a dealer for this brand, does not distribute it and is not authorised by it in any form. We do not repeat their product names, their published figures or their warranty as though those were ours to hand out. What we sell is labour and a finished surface. This crew has been laying seamless surfaces out of Hollywood, Florida since 2013 and has put down more than 1.6 million sq ft through 2025. At the free measurement, booked within 24 hours, every material going into your job is written down by name and by thickness on a fixed price. That sheet is what you hold us to.

1We visit within 24 hours, measure and hand you a fixed price.
2Pick the blend and the depth. We repair the base so it holds.
3Poured, cured and walkable in 24 to 48 hours.
No. We hold no dealership, no distribution agreement and no authorisation from that brand, and we will not pretend otherwise. We pour polyurethane and rubber court and track systems of the same type with our own crew. Every product in your build is named in writing at the free measurement, so you can set it beside any brand quote you were handed.
Usually base prep, thickness or the colour layer. Ask three things in writing. How thick is the finished surface, is the coloured top sprayed on or poured through, and what happens to the cracks in the existing slab. Bring their quote to our measurement and we will read it against ours line by line. You keep that comparison either way.
Often yes, and it is common on condo buildings here. The waterproofing under the deck decides it. If the membrane is sound and the drains run, a poured surface adds grip and takes noise out of the deck without a tear out. If the membrane is at the end of its life, that gets fixed first. We tell you which one you are looking at on site.
Salt does not attack bound rubber the way it attacks steel and paint. What salt air does is leave a film that dulls the look and hold grit against the surface. A rinse with fresh water on the same schedule you rinse your railings deals with it. Coastal decks and courts from Hallandale up to Boca run for years without salt being the reason we get called back.
Court builds, line marking and hoop details are on our sports court systems page.
