We pour and resurface running tracks across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach from 8 dollars per sq ft installed. Drainage and base get corrected before binder goes down, and lane lines are set in, not painted on after.
A track is not one thing you roll out. It is layers. Under everything sits the base, asphalt or concrete, graded so water runs off instead of standing. On top of that goes the elastic body, black rubber granule bound with polyurethane, laid to the depth the track needs. Over the body goes the wear layer, colored EPDM granule in a binder that holds up in full sun. Cut a core out of a finished track and you see all of it in one slice. That layered build is why a poured track still gives something back after years of use while a painted asphalt loop goes dead. We have been laying seamless surfaces since 2013 and the order of those layers has never changed.

Almost every track failure we get called out to starts underneath. Water sat somewhere it should not have, and the surface blistered off the base above it. So before any binder goes down we check the base with a straightedge and a gauge, walk the falls, and find the low spots that hold water after a storm. In South Florida an afternoon downpour is the real test, not a dry morning in March. If the slab needs grinding, patching or a new fall built into it, that goes into the written price before you sign, not as a change order halfway through the week. A base that sheds water is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy on a track.

Lines get measured before they get marked. We set the inside edge first, step the lanes off it, and mark the distances your runners actually use. A high school track, a club loop and a fitness path behind an HOA clubhouse all get used differently, so the marking does not come off a catalog drawing. The line goes into the wear layer while the surface is still fresh, so it wears at the same rate as everything around it instead of sitting on top waiting to scuff away. Our sun is hard on any marking, so we record the exact blend for your track. When you patch a corner years later, the color is already on file and it matches.

2Pick the blend and the depth. We repair the base so it holds.
3Poured, cured and walkable in 24 to 48 hours.
Usually yes. If the old surface is still bonded and the base under it is sound, we clean it, cut out the failed areas and pour a new wear layer over the top. If the old system is lifting in sheets, it comes off first. We tell you which of those two you are looking at during the free measurement, and the price is fixed either way before work starts.
Most jobs run 1 to 3 days on site. After the last pour the surface needs 24 to 48 hours to cure before anyone walks on it. Spikes and heavy training wait a little longer than that, and we give you the date in writing. School work gets scheduled around term dates, HOA work around a quiet weekend, so the loop is usually back before people notice it went.
The colored top is EPDM granule, and the color runs through the granule rather than sitting on it the way paint does. It holds far better under our UV than any painted surface. Some ambering of the binder over the years is normal on every poured system, indoors or out. Choosing a mid tone rather than a pale one keeps that change hard to see for much longer.
Installed work starts at 8 dollars per sq ft and moves with depth, base repair and how much line marking you need. We do not quote from a satellite image. You get a free on site measurement within 24 hours of calling 754-999-9766, then a fixed written price. The number you sign is the number you pay, and the 2 year workmanship warranty sits in the same document.
If the same site also has a slab that has to host more than one game, read how we plan multi sport court layouts.
